Super Spiffy New Collar

Lookie what I got today!

I have been wearing Bogart Handsome Devil’s collar for some time now.  Mum wanted to find me a spiffy one of my own, and you know how she is – she gets an idea in her head, then changes her mind, then does some research, then changes her mind – but she finally settled on finding one for me with a Union Jack.  And why not, being a fine Airedale Terrier I think that’s quite appropriate.  But then it was a matter of finding it.  The internet is full of collars, all different kinds and styles, how does one choose?

So she turned to Etsy.  My fine ID tag was handmade there, so why not my collar?  Searching through the listings, she managed to find only one that she liked – not sure how that’s possible as Etsy is literally full of options – but she just connected with this one.  My first martingale, I’ve been a flat collar guy until now.  A quick email to the maker (in the UK – perfect, eh?) with my sizing requirements and it was all set.

Despite the fact that it was custom made for my neck size, and had to travel all the way from the UK, it arrived FAST.  Today I tore that package open (to be fair, I do this with EVERY package that comes into the house) and mum fitted it around my neck.

We can now confidently retire Bogart’s collar.  It will live next to his ashes, in mum’s special cabinet.
